The tiger is the largest species among the Felidae and classified in the genus Panthera. It is most recognisable for its dark vertical stripes on orangish-brown fur with a lighter underside. It is an apex predator, primarily preying on ungulates such as deer and wild boar. It is territorial and generally a solitary but social predator, requiring large contiguous areas of habitat, which support its requirements for prey and rearing of its offspring. Welcome to my gallery, and thank you so much for taking a look at my work. I am a native Long Islander, and while I studied photography in college, it took a back burner to my life afterwards. Having become an empty nester I once again found my love of photography and have now been behind the lens of my camera for many years. I love macro photography, particularly of flowers, because of all the hidden beauty in the details, but am happy creating all sorts of art with my camera. All Rights Reserved.
